DEATH OF JACOB DAHLMAN…..MR. DAHLMAN was born in Rhine Bavaria, Germany, June 24, 1830, and landed in America May 1st, 1854. For a number of years he worked on Ohio and Mississippi river steamboats. His first marriage occurred in Athens, Mo., the maiden name of his wife being RACHEL GRAY. After living in Macon, Mo., Quincy, Ill., and Athens, Mo., for some time, he came to Fairfield in August 1861, and has been a resident here ever since, and known to nearly every resident of the city. By his first wife he had seven children, six girls and one boy. Of these, four are now dead, those living being GEORGE, who is now in business here, MRS. J. H. DREYER, of Concordia, Kan., and MISS MADGE, who has always lived with her father.

MR. DAHLMAN’S second marriage occurred in Davis County, to MISS. RACHEL KENNEDY, in January 1871. This wife lived only fourteen months, dying in March 1872. He was married a third time in July, 1872, to MISS. NANCY MAEL, of Eldon. She died April 13, 1882, having borne seven children, two girls and five boys. Of these, four boys only are living, the oldest about twelve and the youngest about seven years old. They are living now with relatives and will be under the care of their grandfather MAEL. MR. DAHLMAN was marriage again a number of months ago, which is still familiar to our readers. The funeral occurred Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at the Methodist church…and the remains were escorted by the several orders to which MR. DAHLMAN belonged.
