Sat. Nov 9 1895 1-3.PLEASANT PLAIN. T. F. EMRY who lived south of town, died Sat. and was buried at the Walnut cemetery Sunday.

Thos. F. EMRY died at his home 1-1/4 mi. s.w. of Pleasant Plain last Sat. at noon and was buried Sunday at the Walnut Church. He was in his 66th year, born in Indiana; came to Iowa with his parents in 1838 and is a pioneer of Jefferson County. Leaves wife and four children.~~~~

T. F. EMRY born Randolph Co., Ill., July 2 1830, died at his home near Pleasant Plain Nov. 2 1895. In 1838 his parents removed to Henry Co., Iowa, and in 1839 to Jefferson County, where he resided at time of death. He married Ruth HODSON, six children, two died; three daughters and a son are left. He was one of the pioneer settlers of this part of the county.
