A GOOD MAN GONE. Robert Pattison at his home in Cedar Township Thursday after a residence of nearly half a century in Jefferson County. He was the last of four brothers, Hugh, Alexander, James and Robert, who came to this country in 1849 and who were men of excellent character and high standing in the community. He was born in County Antrim, Ireland, and would have attained his 80th year had he lived until Oct 31. The same year he came to this country he was married to Rosa Gilbert with whom he became acquainted in the old country, and they soon located on the farm 6 miles south of this city which was their home continuously until death separated them. 10 children, 8 now living: Miss Ellen; H. C. and W. J. Pattison and Mrs. A. R. Spear reside in this county; Mrs. J. W. Ulm at Weldon, Alexander and Mrs. Geo. P. Conlee at Salmon City, Idaho; Ross Pattison at Blackfoot, Idaho ….. Stern in his convictions and the soul of honesty. A pioneer settler of the county, the excellence of his life had great influence on those about him ….. Funeral held Friday and body interred in the cemetery near his home. (Left a will)
