Mrs. Robert HUDGEL, 67, route 2, died Sunday afternoon at 2:45 p.m. at Parkview Care Center where she was a patient the past three months and in failing health the past year.
Mildred Lucille was born March 7, 1911 at Danville, Iowa the daughter of Harry H. and Penelope HILEMAN RABLE. June 7, 1933 she was united in marriage to Robert R. HUDGEL in her parents' home in Packwood. She lived all her married life in the Fairfield community. She was a member of the First United Methodist church, Past Noble Grand of Rebekah lodge No. 96; Iowa No. 6 Ladies Encampment Auxiliary; and Bigelow No. 6 Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant. She was also a former 4H club leader.
Surviving are her husband and one daughter, Joan SALTS, one grandson and four sisters: Wilma LAWSON and Grace ROBERTS, Fairfield; Gertrude DICE, Palo, Iowa and Pauline TURPIN, Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist church with Rev. John Wilken officiating. Burial in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
