LOIS EVELYN (CLAMPITT) ADAMS PRESTO
Cape Coral, FL

Lois Evelyn (CLAMPITT) ADAMS PRESTO of Cape Cora, FL, age 82, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in Fort Myers, FL.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, at Behner Funeral Home with Reverend Joseph Phipps officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: Sabrina McGARY, 5355 Shalley Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33919.

Lois was born in Dexter, IA on February 23, 1935 to Wesley and Evelyn (ATWOOD) CLAMPITT. Upon her parents early passing, she was raised by a dear family friend Louise Oehlman in Derby, IA. Lois graduated from Parsons College in Fairfield, IA in 1956. She worked as a librarian, school teacher, and a teacher's aide. She married Robert Paul ADAMS July 19, 1956. They had three daughters together; most of their time was spent in Washington, IL and Cedar Rapids, IA. Robert ADAMS passed away April 14, 1979 (sic - April 15th).

On August 5, 1983 Lois married J. Robert PRESTO, and they retired in Cape Coral, FL in 1985. She was a member of Ladies of Elks and Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral, Florida. J. Robert PRESTO passed away January 5, 2006.

Left to share her memories are her 3 daughters, Sabrina (Jeff) McGARY of Fort Myers, FL, Sheila (Doug) KIRK of Encampment, WY and Jennifer (Buck) POSEY of Fort Myers, FL; 3 step sons, David (Theresa) PRESTO of Eldridge, IA, Richard PRESTO of Phoenix, AZ and Gregory PRESTO of Scottsdale, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Hollis) KIRK, Mackenzie (Anthony) RAKNESS, Ryan McGARY, Reese POSEY and Samantha POSEY; 2 step grandsons, Brian (Jennifer) PRESTO, Travis (Alicia) PRESTO; a great grandson; a step great grandson and 3 step great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Evelyn CLAMPITT; her husbands, Robert ADAMS and J. Robert PRESTO; one sister, Doris CLAMPITT; and one brother, Ralph CLAMPITT.
