Life-long Jefferson County resident Ella Anna RUBEY, 93, Parkview Care Center, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been seriously ill for the past week.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lenwood Monte officiating. Family visitation will be from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Lower Richwoods Cemetery in Walnut township.
Mrs. RUBEY was born March 2, 1889 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Richard M. and Laura M. McKEE TRAIL.
She married Charles H. RUBEY on July 9, 1913 in Jefferson County. He died Oct. 27 (sic - 22nd), 1977.
Mrs. RUBEY was a retired farm wife. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Salina Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by five daughters and one son: Eloise NORTON, Oskaloosa; Enola RICHARDSON, Washington; Laura May LEU, Fairfield; Elsie NEECE, Richland; Emma KURTZ, South English; and Carroll RUBEY, Brighton. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. RUBEY was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, two brothers and one sister.
