Lester Dean FARRIER
Rock Island, IL

Lester Dean FARRIER 87, passed away early Thursday morning at his Daughter's house in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA).

Lester lived most of his life in Rock Island, IL. He was born May 14th 1930 to Charles and Tempest HOUSTON FARRIER. He loved working in the garden, square dancing and family.

Lester married Shirley EKLUND, September 11, 1949 and he later married Betty MILES in 1979. He had 5 children: Becky BENTON of Des Moines, Kathy FARRIER of Wedron, IL, Peg JOHNSON (Brian) of Serena, IL, Paula VADEL of Fairfield, Jeff FARRIER (Sally) of Eldon, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 step daughter - Lori TRANQUILINO and 3 step grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren.

Lester also had 7 brothers and sisters, Marion Jr of Fairfield, Betty FAHY of Scotsdale, Rennie WAKELAND of Washington, Harold FARRIER (Kay) of Fairfield, Wanda LOWE (Charles) of Washington, Joan NORTON of Washington and Kay POHREN (Richard) Pleasant Plain.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Paula VANDEL 1962 170th St, Fairfield IA. There will be a memorial service in Pleasant Plain Saturday January 27th, 2018. Location and time to be announced at a later date.

Celebration of life for Lester FARRIER will be January 27th, 2018 1pm - 3pm at the Brighton Community Center, 100 West Washington Street. Brighton, IA. Memorials can be made to UnityPoint Hospice or the ASPCA.
