Kim MANARY, age 68 of Conroe, TX passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital.

Kim MANARY, age 68, of Conroe, TX passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital The Woodlands, TX with his family and friends by his side. Kim was born March 9, 1949, in Ute, IA to Keith Issac MANARY and Clara Bell MANARY. He graduated from Fairfield High School and Parsons College.
He met his lifelong friend and wife, Carmalee LAWSON MANARY in 1966 when he walked into a sociology class at FHS. They were married in The Woodlands, TX December 20, 1980. They built their current home in Conroe, TX in 2001.
Prior to retirement, Kim's main profession was as a professional executive recruiter. He was an avid precious gemstone collector. He also still owned his 1973 Ford Mustang Mach I which has been completely restored.
During his youthful years he enjoyed weight lifting and spent many hours at the gym. He was an Iowa Hawkeye, Chicago Bears and New York Yankees fan. He was a people person who could converse with people on numerous and various subjects.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Carm, his German Shepherd, Wolf; Brothers Gregory Keith MANARY, Yuma, AZ and Douglas Kent MANARY (June) Mt. Sterling, IA; nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Clara MANARY; his in-laws, Bob and Betty LAWSON, sister-in-law, Cindy LAWSON, and brother-in-law, Bob LAWSON Jr.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA with funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bill Shewmaker officiating. After which graveside services will be held at Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, IA.
Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
