Carl Jacob BOOS

Carl Jacob BOOS, 77, former Lockridge resident, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, Germanville, with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery at Germanville. Family visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until the funeral begins at 2. Memorials have been established to Hope Lutheran Church and Life Line at Jefferson County Hospital. Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BOOS was born May 6, 1915, near Lockridge, the son of Jacob Carl and Anna Lydia CRILE BOOS. He was a farmer until retiring in 1983 and lived within a half-mile of where he was born until moving to Nelson Nursing Home on Dec. 7, 1987. He and his brother Harold moved to the long-term care unit at Jefferson County Hospital on June 6, 1988. The family home was three miles south of Germanville. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was an avid gardener, sharing with friends and neighbors the flowers he grew.

Surviving are a brother, Harold H. and a sister, Freda ANDERSON, both of Fairfield. His parents and a sister, Letha K. GLOTFELTY, preceded him in death.
