-Paid Obituary-

Floyd A. DuVall, 92, of Davenport died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Manor Care.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 28, 2005 at 11:30 am at Runge Mortuary.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary with a Masonic Service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or to the Southeast Iowa Antique Car Club.

Floyd was born July 11, 1912 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Samuel C. and Margaret (Denny) DuVall. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth M. Parsons on November 2, 1935 in Fairfield, Iowa; she died January 5, 1998.

He was employed as a mechanic and machine operator for the Rock Island Arsenal prior to retiring, having worked on the Bonneyville Dam. He also had worked for Railway Express in Davenport and was owner/operator of the DuVall Shell Gas Station.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #37 AF & AM of Davenport, Scottish Rite Bodies, QC Antique Ford Club, NRA, Davenport Shooting Association, and the Southeast Iowa Antique Car Club.

Those left to honor his memory are 2 daughters, including; Mary and husband John Dawson, Washington, IA, son and daughter in law, Samuel and Nancy DuVall, South Beach, OR, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren; special friends: Alvin and Marie Elmore, John Brewer, Bob and June Olds, Bill and Joyce Hudson. In addition to his wife, Floyd is preceded in death by: brothers, Clyde and Paul, sisters: Veda, Verla Alice, and Olah.
