Judy Lee BALL, 69, of Fairfield, Iowa and former resident of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away September 30, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). She was born October 17, 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Everett Raymond and Evelyn DIMMITT GARBER. She graduated from Cardinal High School and married Rex BALL a few months later on September 30, 1967 in Eldon, Iowa. They day of her passing was their 50th wedding anniversary.

Judy was an outgoing person who never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching car racing, and going to casinos. She also liked going to garage sales, flea markets, and the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a member of the Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband, Rex BALL of Fairfield; son, Jimmy (Martha) BALL of Bloomfield; daughter, Paula (Tim) OTIS of Anderson, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mike GARBER of Bloomfield, Lavern GARBER of Eldon, Iowa; special friends and caretakers, Jeff and Sheri Nelson of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shannon McMURRY; and a brother, Harold GARBER.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5. 2017 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastors Monte Knudsen and Dave Schooley officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the swervice and burial of the cremated remains will be at the Competine Cemetery in Wapello County, Iowa at a later date.
