DIED.

GIFT—At her residence in Fairfield, April 22, 1880, of pneumonia, Mrs. Catherine GIFT, aged 76 years and 9 days.

Mrs. GIFT was born in Bedford county, Pa., where she grew to womanhood. Her maiden name was CUNNINGHAM. In the year 1850 came with her family to Jefferson county, where she remained until her death. Her husband, George GIFT, died in the year 1866.

Thirty-six years ago Mrs. GIFT became a member of the Lutheran church and retained her membership until her death. She has been a sufferer for years, much of the time not being able to leave her home. The funeral services took place at her home, Friday, April 23d.
