Woman dies in car accident

An Ottumwa woman died in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday (Mar 28, 2017) in Jefferson County (Iowa)

Lisa Lucille STUFFLEBEEM, age 47, was traveling west on Highway 34 near mile marker 212, just south of Fairfield. At 1:27 PM she lost control of her vehicle, according to an accident report from the Iowa State Patrol.

STUFFLEBEEM's vehicle entered the median, struck the crossover barrier and became airborne. The vehicle rolled numerous times, ejecting STUFFLEBEEM.

Jefferson County Ambulance transported STUFFLEBEEM to the Jefferson County Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
