Gaylord L. LIVESAY, 78, of Keosauqua, died at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua. Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Gaylord L. LIVESAY, 78, of Keosauqua, died at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in the emergency room at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Phil Ross officiating. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).
Visitation opens at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.
Memorials to Shriners Hospitals or Harness Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1203 Seventh St., Keosauqua 52565.
Mr. LIVESAY was born Feb. 19, 1939, in Hedrick to Alex and Corda HARTMAN LIVESAY. He married Donna BRICKER. Later, he married Freda HITES Dec. 13, 1997, in Keosauqua Christian Church.
He and his wife Donna farmed and owned a trucking business.
Mr. LIVESAY was an insurance agent for many years.
He had been a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mr. LIVESAY had been a mason and a shriner.
Survivors include: his wife Freda; sons, Rodney LIVESAY (Sheila) of Mount Sterling and Charles LIVESAY of Keosauqua; daughter, Charlotte FOLLOWWILL (Mark) of Floris; step-children, Randy HITES (Kathy) of Salem and Kimberly ANDERSON of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, George LIVESAY of Bend, Oregon, and John LIVESAY of Fort Gratiot, Michigan; sisters, Bernadine BARKER and Shirley McCLURE of Keosauqua; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda HANSHAW.
