James Douglas BESWICK age 61 went to heaven March 28, 2017. He passed away of cancer at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty MO.
A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Winchester Cemetery, east of Birmingham, Iowa with Pastor Herb Shafer officiating.
Memorials may be made to Stockport United Methodist Church or Morris Park.
Jim was born October 19, 1955 in Ottumwa, Iowa. The son of James and Lois BESWICK, Stockport, Iowa. Jim graduated from Van Buren Community High School, Keosauqua, Iowa in 1973.
Jim worked for Macy's for 30 years as a Visual Manager. He lived on the east coast for 13 years before he was transferred back to Kansas City, MO.
Jim helped open several stores across the United States. He retired in May and went to a part time job at the Painted Sofa Store doing design work. Jim also loved landscaping. He was a good worker, and lived a happy and productive life.
Jim loved his family dearly. He is survived by two sisters Deborah RATLIFF husband Darrell of Edmond Oklahoma, and Diane JONES husband Loren of Pleasant Valley Missouri. Nephews, Matthew and Michael RATLIFF. Jason and Jeff COSTELLO. Cousins, friends, great nephews, and great nieces.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. James and Lois BESWICK and brother Mike. Grandparents Worthy and Bess BESWICK. Albert and Alice MILLER. And many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
