Mary Kathleen DUNNE McLEAN

Mary Kathleen DUNNE McLEAN, 92, of Bel Air, Maryland, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in her home.

A funeral Mass was recited Monday at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air. Visitation was held before the service. A reception to celebrate her life was held following the service.

Mrs. McLEAN was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Burlington, the daughter of John Joseph DUNNE and Marie Marguerite CHAMPAGNE DUNNE. She married Frank E. McLEAN June 28, 1952, in Burlington. He died Sept. 23, 1991.

Mrs. McLEAN attended the University of Iowa and graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She was a stewardess for United Airlines from 1946-1951. She worked as a registered nurse in hospitals in Iowa, California, Nebraska, and Maryland for 35 years.

Survivors include: three daughters, Sara BAUMAN of Bell Air (sic), Julie McLEAN of Bethesda, Maryland, and Kathy McLEAN of Annapolis, Maryland; four sons, Frank McLEAN of Wakefield, Maryland, Kevin McLEAN of Tampa, Florida, John McLEAN of North Potomac, Maryland, and Mike McLEAN of Mt. Airy, Maryland; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and one sister, Joan BUCH of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers, the Rev. John DUNNE, James DUNNE and Bernard DUNNE; three sisters, Anne SNYDER, Margaret DUNNE and Adrienne DUNNE; and one granddaughter.
