Kathy Roberta MEYER

Kathy Roberta MEYER, 55, of Keosauqua, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Baptist Church in Hillsboro, with the Rev. David Callen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Friends can call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. MEYER was born Aug. 3, 1961, the daughter of Robert and Katherine LAMMERT BILLINGSLEY. She married Darrell K. MEYER April 23, 1981, in Keosauqua.

She graduated from Harmony High School in 1979. She was a stay-at-home mom and grandmother. She was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church and joined the family of God on July 2, 1989, in Big Cedar Creek by Hillsboro. She will be remembered for her love of everyone, including her family and Jesus Christ.

Survivors include: her husband Darrell of Keosauqua; three children, Michelle GRIFFITHS with Ed of Hillsboro, D. J. MEYER with Beth of Palo, and James MEYER with Carrie of Shellsburg; two grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy SHAMSTROM (sic - SHANSTROM?) of Burlington, Joyce WEAVER of Douds and Lea Ann GORDY of Bonaparte; one brother, Howard BILLINGSLEY of Mt. Sterling.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother.
