Carol Gwendolyn WILES PEEBLER

Carol Gwendolyn WILES PEEBLER, a former longtime resident of Fairfield, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, in Mount Ayr (note: in Ringgold Co., IA).

A service will be held at noon Oct. 8 at Peterson's Funeral Home in Indianola. The body has been cremated.

The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Cards and memorials can be sent to: Peterson's Funeral Home; 602 E. Salem Ave., Indianola 50125. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonfuneralservice.com.

Mrs. PEEBLER was born June 18, 1942, in Selma, the daughter of Minnie BEGHTOL and Arthur WILES. She married David Eugene PEEBLER Jan. 18, 1962. He died Feb. 13, 2016.

Mrs. PEEBLER was a resident of the Fairfield, Libertyville and Selma area for most of her life. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1961. She worked at Metromail Corporation in Mt. Pleasant for 15 years and had a daycare business in Fairfield for 17 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and picnics.

Survivors include: two sisters; one brother; five children, Deborah POLAND, Roxanne ADAMS, Jacquelynn TRISKA, Douglas PEEBLER, and Teresa SCOVEL; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother.
