Geraldine M. PACHA, 88, of Fairfield and formerly of the Salina community, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Memorials have been established to Hospice Compassus, St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.
Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Mrs. PACHA was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Clear Creek Township of Keokuk County, the daughter of Frank P. and Mary M. OLLINGER SEABA. She married Donald A. PACHA in 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney.
She grew up in Sigourney, where she attended school through the 11th grade. She graduated from Ottumwa Heights Academy and attended Ottumwa Heights College for two years.
Mrs. PACHA taught in rural schools.
She and her husband lived in Ollie, moving to the Salina area in 1959 and to Fairfield in 2002.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, Altar & Rosary Society, Richwood Willing Workers and Fairfield Lions Club.
Survivors include: her husband Donald; two sons, Philip PACHA of Springfield, Illinois, and Mark PACHA and wife Rachel of Omaha, Nebraska; four granddaughters; and one grandson.
Deceased family members include: her parents; and one daughter, Rosemary ELBEN.
