Marjorie Mae 'Marge' SNOW

Marjorie Mae "Marge" SNOW, 83, of Fairfield and formerly of Packwood, died Thursday afternoon, July 14, 2016.

Per her wishes, a graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Packwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating.

Following the service, a luncheon is planned at Packwood Christian Church in Van Voorst Hall for all family and friends to share stories and memories.

Memorials can be mailed to 302 S. 31st St. Apt. A, Fairfield 52556.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. SNOW was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Albia, the daughter of John H. and Cornelia A. NICHOLSON DACK. She married Robert SNOW May 30, 1953, at Attica Methodist Church in Attica.

Mrs. SNOW graduated from Gilman High School.

She was a homemaker and a retired insurance agent with Gentry Insurance.

She and her husband have resided in the Packwood area, and presently Fairfield, for 50 years.

Mrs. SNOW was a member of the Packwood Christian Church.

She enjoyed sending birthday cards to church members and volunteering her time to serve the church.

She was a strong woman of faith; no matter the situation, she would say, "It's in God's hands."

Mrs. SNOW was an avid sports fan cheering on her Hawkeyes. She also followed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to various activities. Sheloved (sic) to be in her kitchen and admired her flowers as she sat on her patio. She never passed up a good western.

Survivors include: her husband; five children, Karen ALLISON and husband Terry of Fairfield, Kyle SNOW and wife Kristi of Houston, Texas, Krystal SNOW of Packwood, Kortney HEALD and husband Richard of Packwood and Kathleen SNOW of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack DACK of Marshalltown; and one sister, Beverly WILLIAMS of Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and two brothers, Ronald and Donald DACK.
