Death Takes Miss BEERS

Word has been received here by local friends of the death of Amy BEERS of Hollywood, Fla., formerly of Fairfield.

Miss BEERS had been in failing health for several years. She was making her home with her sister, Adelaide BEERS at 1702 Arthur St., Hollywood, Fla., 33020.

Miss BEERS was the first superintendent of the Jefferson County Hospital, assuming the position in 1912. She remained here in that capacity until 1924 when she went to Muskegon, Mich.

During her time in Fairfield, Miss BEERS served as head nurse with Unit R during World War I and went with the unit to France. Inurnment will be in May at her native home in Pennsylvania.

Adelaide BEERS is a former superintendent of the Burlington Hospital.
