Mark Antony SCHMITTER, 55, of Libertyville, died today, Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at his home.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Mark Antony SCHMITTER, age 55 of Libertyville passed away at his home, Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

There will be a visitation for family and friends 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation.

After the visitation, please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life at 5:00 pm, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 508 E. Maple Ave, Libertyville, IA. Anyone who comes, please bring a covered dish and your own drinks.

Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors Project or Noah's Ark Animal Shelter. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Becca SCHMITTER, 508 E Maple, Libertyville, IA 52567.

Mark was born January 24, 1961 in Fairfield, IA to Fred and Dixie (SWARTZ) SCHMITTER. He married Becca ROGERS August 7, 2001 at Austin Park.

Mark graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1979 and attended Indian Hills Community College.

He served in the US Navy.

Mark worked at Dexter Laundry, Rockwell, Industrial Tooling & Fabrication, Fort Madison as a maintenance supervisor and Fairfield Castings. At Rockwell and Fairfield Castings he was a journeyman electrician/maintenance.

Mark enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting fishing, helping disabled veterans, his dogs and most of all his grandkids.

Mark is survived by his wife, Becca SCHMITTER; two sons, Jason GREINER and Brandon SCHMITTER; 4 grandchildren, Markie, Chasity, Sophia and Kenzie SCHMITTER; his mother, Dixie SCHMITTER; two brothers, Rob (Kelly) SCHMITTER, Doug (Madge) SCHMITTER; two sisters, Kristi SCHMITTER and Rebecca (Bill) GIBERSON; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred SCHMITTER.
