Julia Marie GORDON BEALE

Julia Marie GORDON BEALE, 94, died Sunday, April 3, 2016, in Fairfield.

A celebration of life will be planned for her family and friends at a later date in Arizona.

Arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. BEALE was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Upton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Dominic and Amelia FENIO LAMANUZZI. She married Elmer Peter "Bud" GORDON in May of 1945 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He died in 1994. She marred (sic) William J. BEALE in 2001 in Prescott, Arizona.

She graduated from Upton, Massachusetts High School in 1939. Following high school, she voluteered for the American Red Cross helping the ill and injured.

She and her husband Elmer made their home in Tucson, Arizona.

She was a homemaker.

Following her husband Elmer's retirement, they became active in real estate.

Throughout her life, she volunteered as a "baby rocker" for the hospital auxiliary and was a member of the Lions Club, with her husband.

Her hobbies included traveling, sewing, cooking, gardening, playing bridge and bowling with her friends and husband Elmer.

She and her husband William enjoyed traveling to many different states and countries, going deep sea fishing and spending time together.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church with her family in Tucson.

Survivors include: one sister, Ann CALKINS of Tucson, Arizona; three children, Patricia GORDON ANDERSON and husband Andy of Gilbert, Arizona, Bruce GORDON and wife Susan of Salado, Texas, and Deborah GORDON FARRELL of Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Elmer GORDON; husband William BEALE; two sisters; six brothers; and one grandson.
