Mrs. John C. HEALD, 95, former resident of Fairfield, died Thursday, April 11, at the Bartel Lutheran Home in Waverly where she had been a patient since July 7, 1967,
Last rites will be Monday, April 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Sunday evening, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Mae Rebecca HEALD was born Dec. 23, 1878, in Libertyville, the daughter of Lorenzo and Mary COOL SMITH. She was reared and educated in the Libertyville Community.
Her marriage to John C. HEALD took place Feb. 1, 1899, and they lived most of their married life on a farm southeast of Packwood. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1938.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Floyd PARKS, Maquoketa; Mrs. Ben ZAMORA, New Braunsfel, Texas; and Mrs. Glenn LISK, Waverly; also ten grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. HEALD was also preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, and one son.
