Daniel C. CHRISTENSEN

Daniel C. CHRISTENSEN, 65, of Brighton, died Tuesday afternoon Jan. 19, 2016, at his home in Brighton (note: in Washington Co., IA).

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Church of God in Brighton, with the Rev. Ryan Meader officiating. Burial will be at a later date following cremation.

Visitation will be 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials for Hospice of Washington or a general memorial can be left at the church or mailed to the family at 505 S. Harrison St., Brighton 52540.

Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. CHRISTENSEN was born Nov. 19, 1950, in Ottumwa, the son of Walter CHRISTENSEN and Sarah L. ROGERS JONES. He married Cyndi HYDE May 25, 1990, in Fairfield.

He grew up in Eldon and graduated from Cardinal High School in 1969.

He worked for Perfex/Modine Manufacturing Company in Washington, Iowa, until his retirement in April 2014.

Mr. CHRISTENSEN loved all outdoor activities, including camping and gardening.

Survivors include: his wife Cyndi; children, Kristopher George LOWE with Ambir Cookson of Brighton, Danielle CHRISTENSEN with Andrew Buendia of Brighton and Shannon CHRISTENSEN with Matt Hannon of Trenton; three grandsons; one brother, Tim ROGERS of Eldon; and one sister, Alana ROGERS of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
