Connor Douglas POGEMILLER

Connor Douglas POGEMILLER, 22, of Midland, Texas, died Thursday evening, June 4, 2015, in Midland as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Crossing Church in Kirksville, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Connor Pogemiller Memorial fund at Davis Playle Hudson Rimer Funeral Home. The family asks that in honor of Mr. POGEMILLER, consider taking a moment to perform an unexpected and simple act of kindness to perpetuate his legacy of gratitude and hope.

Davis Playle Hudson Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri, is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. POGEMILLER was born Nov. 13, 1992, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Douglas POGEMILLER and Robyn KOLLAR.

He attended Kirksville schools and graduated from Kirksville High School in 2011. He was a member of the soccer team, tennis team and attended Missouri Boys State.

Mr. POGEMILLER attended Moberly Area Community College.

Most recently, he lived in Midland, Texas, and was an agent for the American Automobile Association.

He had diverse interests throughout his life and was enthusiastic about soccer, music, snowboarding, mountain biking and tennis. His life's ambition was to be a pilot and it was not uncommon to find him operating his flight simulator. Most notable was his love and passion for his family, friends and his border collie, Addie.

He lived a life full of inquiry with a deep, abiding curiosity and concern about the world around him. He had an irreverent wit and sense of humor, was intensely loyal and his friendship was deeply valued by many. He will be remembered for his kind heart and love of adventure.

Survivors include: his parents Robyn KOLLAR of Columbia, Missouri, and Douglas POGEMILLER and his partner Michael Peterson of Austin, Texas; one brother, Cole POGEMILLER of Austin; and one sister, Kylie POGEMILLER of Columbia; one stepbrother, Keenan of Cedar Rapids; one stepsister, Brie PETERSON of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandparents, J.O. and Linda KOLLAR of Greentop, Missouri; and paternal grandmother, Beverly BARNES of Fairfield.
