Rodney FINCHER

KEOSAUQUA -- Rodney Eugene "Gene" FINCHER, 75, of Keosauqua died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at home.

In accordance with his wishes his body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua handled the cremation.

He was born September 15, 1939 at Savannah, Iowa to Homer and Ruby AYRES FINCHER. Rodney grew up in the Moulton community, lived in Downing, Missouri and had resided in Van Buren County for the past 20 years.

He had farmed and worked in a saw mill in Missouri and many years at the Bloomfield Foundry. For the last 12 years, Rodney volunteered with Jim Settles, Director of Van Buren County Conservation Board, working on the county park system.

Surviving are his wife, Tommye, a daughter Tracy FINCHER of Downing, Missouri and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
