CLYDE E. DILL

Clyde E. "Jack" DILL, 72, of Fairfield, formerly of Grinnell, died Oct. 25 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery there. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

The son of John and Dovie POWERS DILL, he was born May 13, 1917, in Luling, Texas. He was married to Bernice MILLER Dec. 18, 1944, in Hobbs, N.M.

Mr. Dill was a veteran of World War I and served in the Air Force for nine years. He attended Southern Baptist Church.

He was a chef at Parsons College and for Saga Foods at Grinnell College, a post he held for four years. He lived in Fairfield for 35 years.

Surviving are three daughters, Jackie HECKETHORN, Doris EHRENHARD and Linda GARRISON, all of Fairfield; one son, C. Eugene of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and three brothers.

Admin. note: Buried with wife Bernice in Lot 4th.100 at Evergreen Cemetery.
