Caleb M. COUTS, 42, of Keosauqua and until recently of Oskaloosa, died at 7:52 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds.

Caleb M. COUTS

Caleb M. COUTS, 42, of Keosauqua and until recently of Oskaloosa, died at 7:52 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral is planned for 2 p.m., Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Bell Tvedt and the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.

Visitation with family present will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorials to the family to assist with final expenses can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 916 Country Lane Road, Apt. 48, Keosauqua 52656.

Mr. COUTS was born July 26, 1972, in Maryville, Missouri, the son of George and Lesa PERRY COUTS. He was raised by his grandparents Merrill and Sue PERRY. He married Katherine McELROY Nov. 12, 2005, at Jubilee Family Church in Oskaloosa.

Mr. COUTS grew up in Mount Ayr, graudated from Mount Ayr Community High School and attended William Penn University in Oskaloosa.

He had lived in Omaha, Nebraska, and many years in Oskaloosa before moving to Keosauqua in September.

He had been employed at Pioneer Seed Company in Hedrick.

He was a member of the Jubilee Family Church in Oskaloosa and had recently attended Heritage Baptist Church in Keosauqua.

Survivors include: his wife; five stepchildren, Ann CAMPBELL of Douds, Darcy JOHNSON of Keokuk, Ryan McDOWELL of Ottumwa, Keith McDOWELL of Mt. Pleasant and Christina PARSONS of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three stepgrandchildren; his mother, Lesa PERRY NURI of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Cody COUTS and Adam JORDAN; three sisters, [...], Samiyra NURI and Elisia GONZALES.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents, Merrill and Sue PERRY.
