Kenneth KENNEDY

Ken KENNEDY of Champaign, Illinois, died thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Presence Covenant Medical Center after fighting a battle with cancer.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to Champaign County Humane Society, Family Service Senior Resource Center or the American Heart Association.

Arrangements were completed by the Morgan Memorial Home in Savoy, Illinois.

Mr. KENNEDY was born April 15, 1951, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Robert and Charlene KENNEDY. He and his wife Mary were married for 40 years.

Mr. KENNEDY was previously employed by the former Shelby Motors of Champaign and was most recently self-employed.

He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Illini fan.

His interests included sports, golf and fishing.

Survivors include: his wife; one brother, Stephen KENNEDY of New Castle, Oklahoma; three sisters, Cheryl MANNING from Batavia, Donna MOORE of Fairfield and Sandy DANIELS of Cape Coral, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Dennis KENNEDY.
