James Dean "Jim" COUNTRYMAN, 54, of rural Birmingham died at his home Wednesday, July 9, 2014, surrounded by his family.
The funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Heartland Christian Camp west of Birmingham, with the Rev. Tim De Vries officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham.
The family will receive friends rom (sic - from) 5-7 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham.
Memorials have been established to the Birmingham Fire Department or to HCI Hospice Care Services.

Mr. COUNTRYMAN was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Fairfield, the son of Harold D. and Ramona HUDSON COUNTRYMAN.
A lifetime resident of the Birmingham community, he attended Birmingham Elementary School, Stockport Middle School and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1978.
He was a member of ABATE - A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education.
Mr. COUNTRYMAN farmed and was a mechanic of tractors and small engines. He had worked at Reiff Grain in Fairfield and currently was employed by Golden Furrow.
Survivors include: one daughter, Caitlyn JOHNSTON of Kansas City, Missouri; and two sisters, Nadine COUNTRYMAN and Rhonda COUNTRYMAN, both of Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
