"Elza Bush, 79, died Wed. at home of his son 11 miles northeast of Fairfield. Burial in Antioch Cemetery. Born Sept 23 1870 near Fairfield, son of William and Lydia Clapper Bush; reared and educated in Jefferson County and spent practically his entire life in this community. Went to Denver for about three years and returned to Jefferson County three years ago. Married Jan. 11, 1905 to Minda Borough. The wedding took place in the home of Rev. Chas. Coop near Antioch. Wife died Mar. 16, 1944. He is survived by one son, Lawrence Bush near Pleasant Plain; three grandchildren; one brother, Robert Bush, Fairfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Smith, Fairfield, and Mrs. Emma J. Gossick, Des Moines."
