Danny Lee 'Bucky' PARISH

Danny Lee "Bucky" PARISH, 61, of rural Arbela, Missouri, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Larry Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation opens at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to PO Box 81, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. PARISH was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Keosauqua, the son of Charley and Doris KENNEDY PARISH. He married Susan BARTHOLOMEW in 1987. They divorced.

Mr. PARISH went to school in Luray, Missouri, and graduated from Revere High School in Revere, Missouri.

He worked at Iowa Malleable Iron in Fairfield and later at The Dexter Company, also in Fairfield, until 2013.

He was a member of Mount Sterling Betterment Society.

He loved the outdoors, John Wayne, NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt and Yosemite Sam. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his two sons, daughter-in-law, and Earl the Dog and a numerous amount of friends who gathered at A.J.'s in Mount Sterling for "Bucky Burgers."

Survivors include two sons, Ray PARISH and wife Terra of Keosauqua and Robby PARISH of Arbela; one brother, Don PARISH of Colorado; and one sister, Dorothy TWEEDY of Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Darrell PARISH.
