Willard 'Bub' DIERS

Willard 'Bub' DIERS, 77, Route 3, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 1990, at his home.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to First Lutheran Church and the American Heart Association.

DIERS was born Dec. 17, 1912, in Jefferson County, the son of Arthur Ben and Catherine BURGER DIERS. He married Clara E. BEKEL Oct. 21, 1938, at Germanville. He had worked for the Jefferson County Road Maintenance Department for 47 years and lived his entire life in Jefferson county. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Wayne of Fairfield, Alan of Itasca, Ill.; two daughters, Viginia DIERS of Seattle, Florence WRIGHT of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth of Raritan, Ill. and Leonard of Macomb, Ill.
