Robert W. "Rob" TEETER, 54, of Bonaparte, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday. May 31, 2014, at Great River Hospice in West Burlington.
A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Keith "Doc" Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery with Bonaparte Fire Department transporting the casket.
Visitation opened at 2 p.m. today, Monday, with family present from 5-7 at the funeral home.
Memorials to Bonaparte United Methodist Church, Bonaparte Fire Department or Great River Hospice may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 30011 250th St., Bonaparte 52620.
Mr. TEETER was born Oct. 8, 1959, in Keosauqua, the son of Elvert O. and Barbara BAILEY TEETER. He married Ruth A. MILLER March 7, 1981, in Bonaparte.
He was a purchasing agent for Mid-AM Building Supply Company in Mt. Pleasant. Prior to that he worked at Mt. Hamill and Bonaparte lumber companies.
He served 37 years on the Bonaparte Fire Department.
In his younger days he played on the Pratt Slow Pitch softball team.
He was a big St. Louis Cardinals baseball and NASCAR fan, especially a fan of driver Mark Martin.
He enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his family.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Christina TEETER of Bonaparte and Jessie TEETER of Burlington; two sons, Blake TEETER and spouse Kylely BAKER of Bonaparte and Jeremiah TEETER and spouse Jessica of Alexandria, Missouri; one brother, Matthew TEETER of Bonaparte; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ned TEETER; and a granddaughter.
