Madge Dorothy Harper McIntire, 89, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Encore Senior Villa in Monroe, Wis.

The funeral will be held at a later date at New Life Communty Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McIntire was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Newton, the daughter of Alvin and Margaret Reed Harper. She married Wayne McIntire April 29, 1934. He died in 1997.

Survivors include four sons, twins Jerry McIntire and wife Anne of Northwood and Jack McIntire and wife Maggie of Greensboro, N.C., Bruce McIntire and wife Judy of Davenport and Alan McIntire of Oskaloosa; two daughters, Marcia Caldwell and husband James of Brodhead and Judy Randolph of Burke, Va.; one son-in-law, Robert Goehring; one sister, Mona Shaffer Jackson of Fairfield; one brother, Robert Harper of DeKalb, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Patricia Goehring and infants Shirley and Sandra; seven brothers; and three sisters.
