Death Takes E. DIMMITT

Mrs. Eva J. DIMMITT, 76, 204 North B, died suddenly Sunday at 3:55 a.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been a resident of Fairfield for more than 60 years.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with Dr. John R. Dilley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. DIMMITT was born Sept. 10, 1897 in Hoopeston, Ill., the daughter of Herbert and R. Eva O'HAIR MITCHELL. She was married to Clyde W. DIMMITT Dec. 31, 1918. He died May 7, 1957.

Mrs. DIMMITT was a member of the White Shrine, Frist United Presbyterian Church, IAM Ladies Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors. She also served on the Jefferson County Democratic Central Committee.

She is survived by two daughters and five sons: Mrs. Jeannette FRANKLIN, Rose Ann DIMMITT, Glen, Clyde, Robert and Lester, all of Fairfield; and William of Richardson, Tex.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a half-brother, Warren MITCHELL, Walnut Creek, Calif.
