Mary J. COLLINS

Mary J. COLLINS, 89, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at home.

A funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery on Arsenal Island at Rock Island, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Mass stipends for Mary COLLINS.

Mrs. COLLINS was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Fairfield, the daughter of Frank E. and Margery MALIN SIMONS. She married William MILLER and they divorced. She married Max DAVDSON. She married John Leslie COLLINS.

She grew up in Fairfield and lived in Kalona before moving back to Fairfield.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth SIMONS and Donald SIMONS, both of Fairfield; and one stepdaughter, Kay.

She was preceded in death by two husbands Max DAVIDSON and John COLLINS; her parents; four sisters, Helen SIMONS, Myrtle MILLER, Lois LONG and Mildred SIMONS; and three brothers, Lloyd SIMONS, Charles SIMONS and Harold SIMONS.
