Patricia M. PEEBLER, 76, originally of Eldon, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Fountain West Nursing Home in West Des Moines.
Arrangements are pending at Grace Funeral Care in Eldon.

Note: The above brief obituary is all that I currently have for Patricia; there may be a complete obituary in an issue of the paper that I haven't received yet. When I have more, it will be added to this posting.
Meanwhile, Grace Funeral Care's website has a complete obituary, and it provides the following facts: Patricia passed away at 1:56 P.M., Thursday the 26th. Her body will be cremated per her wishes and a memorial service will be at the Eldon Christian Church on December 30, 2013. Burial will be private and held at a later date. She was born February 25, 1937, in Wapello County to James L. and Irene DOWNING MORROW. She attended schools in Eldon, and following school married Herb SWAIM who died in 1965. She later married Larry PEEBLER who died in 2008. Five children survive her, Sue SWAIM of CA, Daniel SWAIM of Altoona, Toby SWAIM of Muscatine, Tami SWAIM of Des Moines, and David PEEBLER of Altoona. Also surviving her are nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister Joy KUPER of Fort Madison, one niece and one nephew. Her first husband (both, actually) and one grandchild preceded her in death. She worked at the elementary school in Eldon for more than 33 years as a secretary, was a member of the Eldon Christian Church for over 50 years, and enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and reading.
