Paul BROWN

Paul BROWN, 84, of Mesa, Ariz., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa.

He was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Detroit, the son of Charles and Hazel BROWN.

He moved to Iowa and attended elementary school in Fairfield. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1948.

He earned a bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University after serving 22 years in the U.S. Air Force. He received many commendations in the Air Force as an outstanding airman.

He also attended graduate school at Arizona State.

He served as Boys Club director for many years in Tempe, Ariz.

He worked in property management in the valley.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; three children, Randy, Rick and Rhonda, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Juanita STONE of Fairfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brothers.
