He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1931. He farmed until retiring and worked at Fairfield Engineering for more than 15 years. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He married Violet DOBRAS on Sept. 13, 1941, at East Pleasant Plain. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jerry of Fairfield, John of Donnellson; and six grandchildren. His parents, a sister, Mary Edith SPRATT, and a granddaughter preceded him in death.

Admin. note: Believe the middle name is misspelled and should be Fredric; he can be found in the Social Security Death Index online as Fredric NELSON. He is buried in Lot St Mary's 9 - space 2, and wife Violet who died in 1995 is beside him in space 3.
