Phyllis RANDALL, 69, of Pleasant Plain, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Phyllis Cecelia RANDALL

Phyllis Cecelia RANDALL, 69, of Pleasant Plain, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Plain Friends Church in Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Mac McDonald officiating. Burial in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery will follow cremation.

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. immediately preceding the funeral at the church.

Memorials for Pleasant Plain Friends Church, American Cancer Society or Hospice Compassus may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 205 N. Mechanic St., Brighton 52540.

Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. RANDALL was born April 25, 1944, the daughter of Philip E. and Naomi R. HAINES WILLIAMS. She married John A. RANDALL Jr. June 27, 1964, in Memphis, Mo. He died Jan. 5, 2007.

She grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1963.

She worked as a cook and babysat in her home.

She was a member of Pleasant Plain Friends Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Theresa KNERR and spouse Jackie of Brighton and Linda ESSARY and spouse Harold "Ace" of Fairfield; one son, Steve Simpson GARMOE and spouse Sheri of Brighton; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat McCARTY of Hedrick; and one brother, Chris WILLIAMS of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two infant sons and two great-grandchildren.
