DIED IN MONTANA. Mrs. J. C. Thompson, an old time resident of Fairfield, died at Dillon, Mont., Feb. 6... Her maiden name was Martha C. Thompson, and she was born in Harrison County, Ohio, Feb. 28, 1827, and came to Iowa in April 1847. June 10, 1851, she was united in marriage to J. Q. Thompson in this city and removed to a farm in Van Buren County, where they lived for a number of years. Nine children were born to them, two of whom, a son and a daughter, are dead. Those living are Mrs. Fannie Miller of Perlee, Frank of Washington County, Ezra and William, with three married sisters, Mary, Jessie, and Mattie, of Dillon, Mont. Aug. 10, 1883, the family moved to Dillon. The father died during the past year. Mrs. Thompson will be remembered by many of our older residents…
