Word has been received here of the death of the Rev. Darwin W. BLOMGREN, 57, former Fairfield minister who died recently of a heart attack at his home in Gig Harbor, Wash.
Last rites were held at Gig Harbor with burial in Mountain View Memorial Park in Tacoma.
Rev. BLOMGREN served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield from the fall of 1946 to December, 1948. He was active in youth work.
Darwin W. BLOMGREN was born in Galesburg, Ill., and was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1938. After serving churches in the Midwest he moved to California in 1965 and to Gig Harbor two years ago.
In addition to his widow he is survived by three sons, the Rev. Philip C. BLOMGREN, Tacoma; David K. BLOMGREN, Portland, Oregon; and Paul Q. BLOMGREN, at home; and a daughter, Mrs. John BRANDNER, Shelton, and six grandchildren.
