Rita Lynne WOOLAM, 61, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Harold Baker officiating. Interment will be at Pittsburg Cemetery (note: Van Buren County, IA).
Visitation will be prior to the funeral with family present 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family. Memorials and cards can be sent to 427 N. Milner, Ottumwa 52501.
Mrs. WOOLAM was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Leo and Nellie POOL SCOTTON. She married LeRoy R. WOOLAM Sept. 21, 1996, in Aledo, Ill.
She was a geriatric nursing assitant throughout her career and the last 12 years worked at Good Samaritan Center in Ottumwa.
She attended Midway Baptist Church in Floris.
Her hobbies and interest included sewing, reading, cooking, especially peanut butter fudge, yard sales and animals.
Survivors include her father, Leo SCOTTON of Fairfield; her husband, LeRoy WOOLAM of Ottumwa; two sisters, Gail RUSH of Aledo, Ill., and Rosa LaRUE of Ottumwa; two brothers, Russell SCOTTON of North Little Rock, Ark., and Mitchell SCOTTON of Houston, Texas; five stepsisters; and one stepbrother.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one stepsister.
