James "Pocketwatch" Otto ESTLE, 72, of Batavia, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at home.
A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jenna Manchester officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 201 Washington St., Batavia 52533.
Mr. ESTLE was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Troy, Iowa, the son of Otto H. "Whitey" and Pauline R. RICHARDSON ESTLE. He married Anna Mae KIEFER Sept. 1, 1962, at First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield.
He grew up in Troy and attended school in Troy until the family moved to Fairfield in 1956. He graduated from Fairfield High School.
He served in the National Guard.
He worked as a heavy machine operator on road construction and drove a semi grain truck for Batavia Grain Company and Reiff Grain & Feed in Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae of Batavia; one daughter, Rose STILES and spouse Ron of Batavia; two grandsons; three sisters, Shirley BURK of Fairfield, Mary SELIG of Indianapolis, Ind., and Rosaline MUNN of Hudson, Wis.; and two brothers, John E. ESTLE of Fairfield and George ESTLE of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Ann, and his parents.
