BATAVIA - Grave services were held Monday in the Abingdon Cemetery for Raymond E. McCREERY, 72, who died June 26 at Marshalltown.
The services Monday were conducted by the Rev. Clarence De Boef, with military rites provided by O.B. Nelson Post No. 3, Ottumwa.
Raymond E. McCREERY was born Feb. 22, 1902, in Abingdon, the son of Daniel and Katherine (sic - Catherine) HILTON McCREERY. He is survived by two brothers, Guy McCREERY, Fairfield, and Ralph McCREERY, of near Fairfield; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle BLACK, Batavia, along with nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
McCreery was a member of the Abingdon Christian Church.
