L. CARTER dies at 67

Leland CARTER, native of Fairfield, died at 8 a.m. Friday in the Presbyterian Hospital at Denver, Colo. He had been in poor health since May 16 when he underwent surgery.

A retired salesman for J.P. Coats Co., he had made his home in Littleton, Colo., for the past several years. The family home is located at 6926 South Cookway, Littleton, Colo., 80122.

Services and burial will take place at Littleton but details are still pending.

Leland CARTER was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Fairfield. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.O. CARTER. He was reared and graduated from the Fairfield High School.

In addition to his widow, CARTER is survived by two sons, David who lives in Chicago and Tom, Gunnison, Colo.; two grandchildren and four sisters; Gayle ELAND, Winfield; Helen CLARK, Council Bluffs; Ruth SELLARS and Oral HALL, both of Fairfield.

The four sisters and Jack SELLARS have departed for Littleton to attend the services.
