Rites for Lawrence ROBERTS

BATAVIA - Services for Lawrence W. (Larry) ROBERTS, 72, who died Monday evening at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. The body will be cremated.

ROBERTS was born May 26, 1911 in Pamonar, Ill., the son of W.W. and Daisy ROBINSON ROBERTS. He had lived in the Batavia community for 25 years where he had formerly been in the restaurant and drapery business. He married Helen BALDRIDGE, who died in 1963.

Surviving are a brother, Frank of Pulaski, Ill., a nephew and a niece.

ROBERTS was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion in Batavia.
