Malissa BAGAN rites Tuesday

Malissa J. BAGAN, 88, who formerly lived at 805 W. Kirkwood, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Parkview Care Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Kelley will officiate and burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience and memorials may be made to the Cancer Society.

Malissa J. BAGAN was born Oct. 30, 1895, in Earlham. She was the daughter of Nathan and Emma PEACOCK THORN. Her marriage to John C. BAGAN took place April 17, 1937, at Colorado Springs, Colo. He died in March, 1961.

Survivors include two sons: Herbert HEWITT, White Salon, Washington, and Don HEWITT, Fairfield; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary PROHASKI, Faribault, Minn., and Dortha HALKENHAUSER, Venice, California.

Mrs. BAGAN had lived most of her life in Venice, California and Denver, Colo. before moving to Fairfield in September, 1975. She attended the Church of the Nazarene.
